No sin; No Pandemic

God is trying to get the world's attention. You may be noticing that the normal arrogance of many politicians has been subdued lately. We recently witnessed a miracle of sorts. Democrats and Republicans worked together. That's a miracle these days.

People who don't know God tend to respond to the current crisis in one of two ways. They either forget all about Him, or they Blame Him. Have you ever noticed that the world likes to refer to natural disasters -- things like hurricanes and earthquakes as acts of God? Of course, that is far from true because God created this world in a good state. God created this world perfectly. It was man's sin that has affected the natural world.

God doesn't sit on the throne and say, "I'm going to send a tsunami!" But does He allow it to happen? Yes as collateral damage from the ravages of sin in our world. No sin; no tsunamis. No sin; no hurricanes. No sin; no tornados. No sin; no pandemic. It is a sin that has brought calamity in the world. Plain and simple. So, I want to share some important reminders.

  1. This world is passing away (John 2:15-17) Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

  2. Life is Short

  3. Man's complete insufficiency to meet his own needs

  4. We all need each other

  5. This is an opportunity for us to show love to others.
